  易混淆副词的用法总结

  1. very/much 表示“非常”

  1)very 修饰原级,much修饰比较级或最高级

  如:

  She is very nice. 她人很好。

  The room is very big. 房间很大。

  You finished the work very quickly. 你很快就完成了工作。

  I’m much better. 我好多了。

  He is much taller than his brother. 他比他兄弟高多了。

  That was much the best meal Ive ever tasted. 这是我尝过的最最好吃的佳肴。

  The car is much the most expensive. 这辆车是最最昂贵的。

  2)very 修饰形容词和副词,much修饰动词

  如:

  The flower is very beautiful. 花很漂亮。

  It’s a very cold day. 今天天气很冷。

  She talks very fast. 她讲话很快。

  I will check very carefully. 我会非常认真检查的。

  She is very tired. 她很疲倦。(tired在此是过去分词作形容词,仍用very修饰)

  That is a very astonishing fact. 这是个非常令人吃惊的事实。(astonishing在此是现在分词作形容词,仍用very修饰).

  3)much修饰动词时,常用于否定句;much也可修饰肯定句中表示个人情感的动词的被动语态

  如:

  I don’t like her much. 我不太喜欢她。

  He didn’t sleep much. 他没怎么睡觉。

  She is much pleased by your compliment. 你的赞赏让她很高兴。

  He is much liked by the audience. 观众很喜欢他。

  Your effort is much appreciated. 很感激你的努力。

  4)修饰动词时可用very much代替much,且very much 比much更常用于肯定句。

  如:

  Thank you very much. 非常谢谢你。

  I like her very much. 我非常喜欢她。

  I admire you very much. 我非常羡慕你。

  He objects very much to the suggestion. 他非常反对这个提议。

  She is very much surprised by the news. 这消息令她非常惊讶。

  He was very much impressed by you. 他对你的印象非常深刻。

  You are very much amused by the child. 你被这小孩逗的很开心。

  5)much/very much修饰alive, asleep, ashamed, alone, awake, afraid等叙述形容词

  如:

  She is still (very) much alive. 她仍然很有活力。

  The twins look (very) much alike. 这对双胞胎非常相像。

  He feels (very) much ashamed. 他感到很惭愧。

  She was (very) much afraid that he knew it. 她很害怕他知道。

  6)much 修饰too, much too 表示“太…”

  如:

  The water is much too hot. 水太烫了。

  He is much too tall. 他长的太高了。

  She is much too busy. 她太忙了。

  You’ve gone much too far. 你太过分了。

  2. too/either/also 表示”也“

  1)too用于肯定句句末,词前有逗号隔开

  如:

  He is a teacher. I am a teacher, too. 他是一名老师, 我也是一名老师。

  He likes white. She likes white, too. 他喜欢白色,她也喜欢白色。

  You may try it, too. 你也可以试试。

  注:一般来讲,too前也有不加逗号的情况,若加逗号,则更强调too,若不加逗号,则语气较弱。

  2)either用于否定句

  如:

  He isn’t a teacher. I am not a teacher either. 他不是一名老师, 我也不是一名老师。

  He doesn’t like white. She doesn’t like white either. 他不喜欢白色,她也不喜欢白色。

  It doesn’t do him any good, but it doesn’t do him any harm either. 这对他没什么好处,但也没什么坏处。

  3)also较为正式,其位置和频度副词的位置一样

  如:

  You also agree with her. 你也同意她的意见。

  I also want to pass the exam. 我也想考试及格。

  He was also a student. 他也是一位学生。

  She was also here. 她也在这。

  3. ago/before 表示 “以前”

  1)时间段+ago,表示从现在向过去追溯,常用于一般过去时

  如:

  It happened over 300 years ago. 这发生在300多年前。(距今300多年前)

  They met two weeks ago. 他们是两个星期以前遇见的。(距今两个星期以前)

  He arrived a few hours ago. 他几小时之前到的。

  She left a long time ago. 她很久之前就离开了。

  I saw you two days ago. 我两天前看见你了。

  2)时间段+ before,表示从过去向更过去追溯,即指过去的过去,常用于过去完成时

  如:

  She said she had finished her homework two hours before. 她说她两个小时之前就已经完成作业了。("finished"的动作发生在”said“之前的两个小时,表过去的过去)

  He said he had worked in Beijing two years before. 他说他两年之前就已经在北京工作两年了。

  She said she had bought the computer five weeks before. 她说她五个星期前就已经买了电脑。

  3)before单独使用,泛指以前,可用于现在完成时或一般过去时

  如:

  I have seen you before. 我之前见过你。

  I have never seen you so angry before. 我之前从来没见过你如此生气。

  She has never seen so many beautiful flowers before. 她从来没有见过这么多的花。

  He has seen the movie before. 他之前看过这部电影。

  She looked just the same as before. 她看起来和以前一样。

  He didn’t know that before. 他之前并不知道。

  4. already/yet 表示“已经”

  1)常与完成时态连用,already用于肯定句,yet用于疑问句

  如:

  He has already arrived. 他已经到了。

  I’ve already told her the news. 我已经把消息告诉她了。

  The show had already started when I arrived. 我到之时,表演已经开始了。

  The movie is already available in China. 在中国已经可以看到这部电影了。

  Have you found the key yet? 你已经找到钥匙了吗?

  Have you finished your work yet? 你已经完成工作了吗?

  Has he gone yet?他已经走了吗?

  2)yet用于否定句,表示“还”

  如:

  The show hasn’t started yet. 节目还没有开始。

  She hasn’t arrived yet. 她还没有到。

  5. ever/once 表示”曾经“

  ever用于否定句、疑问句或肯定句中表示比较时,once用于肯定句

  如:

  I don’t think I have ever seen you before. 我觉得我从来没有见过你。

  Have you ever been to Guangzhou? 你来过广州吗?

  Have you ever done it before? 你有做过这件事吗?

  You are the most charming person I’ve ever met. 你是我见过的最有魅力的人。

  This is the highest building I’ve ever seen. 这是我见过的最高的楼。

  I once lived in Beijing. 我曾经住在北京。

  She once worked for me. 她曾经为我工作。

  He once loved you. 他曾经爱过你。

  Ann was once a naughty girl. 安妮曾经是个淘气的女孩。

  She was once an actress. 她曾经是个演员。

  He was once a basketball player. 他曾经是个篮球队员。

  e.g. I had a big time there.

  the big time:第一流,最高级

  2) according to:按照,根据

  e.g. They were commended or criticized according to their work.

  e.g. The thermometer rises or falls according as the air is hot or cold.

  3) admit to:承认

  e.g. I have to admit to a dislike for modern music.

  admit sb. to:允许某人进入某地或加入某组织、行业

  e.g. They have admitted me into their club.

  4) all for:完全赞成

  e.g. I am all for holding a meeting to discuss it.

  for all:尽管

  e.g. They could not open the box for all their forces.
