　　1. This cat's name is Tiger. He is big and strong. But He is not brave.

　　这只猫的名字叫Tiger。他长得又大又强壮。但是他却并不勇敢。

　　2. He is scared of dogs and the dark. He is even scared of the mice in his house.

　　他害怕狗和黑暗。他甚至害怕他的房子里有老鼠。

　　3. One day, it is sunny. Tiger takes a nap. The mice decide to take a walk. They do not see the cat.

　　有一天，阳光灿烂。Tiger正在打盹。老鼠们打算散步，不过他们都没有看到有只猫在那里。

　　4. Now they see the cat. The mice are scared. They run away. Tiger sees the mice. He is scared. He runs too.

　　现在他们看到那只猫了，老鼠们开始害怕起来。他们开始逃跑时，Tiger也看到老鼠们，他也很害怕，于是他也跑开了。

　　5. Baby Mouse falls. "Waa! Waa!" he cries. "I want to go home! Help me." "No! I am too scared," says Tiger.

　　有只小老鼠掉下来了，“哇!哇!”，小老鼠大叫着，“我要回家!救我!”“不!我好害怕，”Tiger说着。

　　6. "Waa! Waa! I want my mommy!" cries Baby Mouse. Tiger feels sorry for Baby Mouse. "Don't cry. I will help you." Tiger carries him and goes down the dark stairs.

　　“哇!哇!我要妈咪!”小老鼠叫着。Tiger感觉对小老鼠很抱歉，“别哭，我会帮你。”Tiger捉着他下了黑暗的楼道。

　　7. Tiger is scared. But he helps anyway. "Here is your mommy," he says. "My baby!" says Mother Mouse. "Thank you!" says Father Mouse. What a brave cat Tiger is!

　　Tiger很害怕，但是他还是帮助了小老鼠。“这是你的妈咪，”他说道。“我的宝贝!”老鼠妈妈说道。“谢谢你!”老鼠妈妈又说。Tiger真是只勇敢的猫!

　　1. Small Bear loves his little bed. Papa Bear made the bed for him when he was a baby. But one morning, Small Bear wakes up with pains in his legs. He is too big for his little bed now.

　　4. Papa and Small Bear make a bigger bed. They carry it back home.

　　5. Small Bear can't find his old bed. "Where is my little bed?" "Come and see," calls Mama from the next room. It is true! There is his little bed. There is a baby sister in it. Now Small Bear is a big brother!

　　6. Small Bear looks at her. Baby sister pops him on the nose with a small hand.

　　7. That night Small Bear sleeps proudly in his bigger bed. "Aha!" he says. "It's nice to have a little sister."

　　5. The king gives David a big sword. David gives it back. "I have my sling," he says. Goliath laughs at David. "Let me turn you into food for the birds!"

　　国王给David一把长剑。David拒绝了。“我有弹弓，”他说。Goliath耻笑David。“让我来把你变成小鸟的食物吧!”

　　6. David puts a stone in his sling. ZING! The stone hits Goliath between the eyes! The giant falls down，dead!

　　7. "Goliath is dead!" cry Goliath's men. "Run for your lives!" David becomes a hero! Later David grows up to be a great king.

　　1. In the morning, I brush my teeth. Oh, no! My tooth! It's loose!

　　2. On the bus to school, my loose tooth moves. I can twist it around, left and right, back and forth.

　　1. Papa Bear takes out a notice from the Bear Family's mailbox. It is about a meeting that night.

　　2. Mama Bear calls Gramps and Gran. When Mama and Papa are away, Brother and Sister Bear can stay with them.

　　4. "Why can't we go with you?" asks Sister. "Yeah!" says Brother Bear. "Because," says Papa, "this meeting is for grown-ups."

　　5. "Well, where are we going to stay?" the cubs want to know. "You're going to stay right here," says Mama. She puts down the phone. "Alone?" asks Sister.

　　“喔，那我们要去哪里?”想知道。“你们就呆在家里，”熊妈妈说。她放下电话。“就我们两个人?”熊妹妹问。

　　6. "Of course not," says Mama. "You will have a sitter." "A sitter?" says Brother."Who?" "Mrs Grizzle," says Mama. "Mrs Grizzle!" The cubs begin to worry.

　　“当然不是，”熊妈妈说。“会给你们找个保姆的。”“保姆?”熊哥哥问。“谁?”“Grizzle夫人，”熊妈妈说。“Grizzle夫人!”孩子们开始担心了。

　　7. Once, their ball went into Mrs Grizzle's flower garden. Mrs Grizzle wasn't happy about it. Another time, Brother's kite bumped Mrs Grizzle's hat. She was angry.

　　有一次，他们的球踢进了Grizzle夫人的花园。Grizzle夫人有点生气。还有一次，熊哥哥的风筝撞到了Grizzle夫人的帽子。她很恼火。

　　8. "She won't be a good sitter!" says Brother. Mrs Grizzle is on her way to the tree house. Will she be a good sitter?

　　“她不会是个好保姆的!”熊哥哥说。Grizzle夫人正在来树房的路上。她会是个好保姆吗?
