多元文化的社会,不同种族的.人生活在一起,能给一个国家带来更多的利益。你在多大程度上同意或不同意?
参考范文
It is not uncommon in the new era that people with different nationalities and cultural background mingle together, as the globalization of economy and culture continue to become mainstream. This is an inevitable trend and I deem that it should be embraced with more optimism.
The interaction between citizens of diverse cultural backgrounds is likely to add more spice to the modern life. People coming from various countries lead quite distinct lifestyles due to different living habits and cultural heritage. The diversity of culture can bring continuous feeling of freshness and a novel, exotic experience to those who have no former access to the other cultures. Take New York for example, it is a noted metropolis renowned for its multitude of cultural complex and a bunch of cultural genres, which are the fusion of different ethnic groups’ beliefs and cultural outlooks. The residents in New York can hardly feel bored with the monotonous life because they are more accessible to a cultural melted pot.
Besides, a multicultural society is more tolerant. It is true that the openness of one country is closely related to how diverse the culture is for the reason that mutual understanding and empathy are the foundation of peaceful co-existence. Thus, the dissent is inclined to be set aside in order to gain more consensus and the society will become more open to the less dominant cultures.
As for the dark sides of multicultural trend is rather limited but still worth mentioning. One most conspicuous drawback might be the threat to the local culture, especially when other foreign cultures are too aggressive and dominant. But this problem can still be handled if some precautious(戒备的,警惕的) measures are carried out.
To conclude, the exchange of different cultures is the unavoidable tendency and both individuals and the society as a whole can be beneficiaries.

“There are more new towns nowadays. It is more important to include public parks and sports facilities than shopping centers for individuals to spend their free time. To what extent do you agree or disagree?”
现在有很多新的城镇兴起,建立公共公园和体育设施比商场能更好的让居民度过闲暇时光,你在多大程度上同意/不同意?
参考范文
What weighs heavier in the urban development, the public parks and the sports facilities or the shopping centers? In the essay, the merits of both parties will be fully explored.
On the one hand, building public gardens and athletic facilities brings the community several benefits. One is that there will be more greeneries absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, which means that the new towns will be undeniably more eye-pleasing and the dwellers will have much cleaner and fresher air to breathe. Another advantage is that a healthy lifestyle is promoted with these outdoor installations. Most of a town’s workforce is composed of white-color workers who usually lead a sedentary life in front of computers. Given a much more user-friendly environment for exercisers, these office ladies and gentlemen will stroll with families after having meals and release pressures in a positive way.
On the other hand, the local inhabitants are able to avail themselves of the constructions of the shopping malls. To begin with, life is made much more convenient by various shops and stores on the streets. When a person needs to buy necessities such as a piece of clothing, a loaf of bread, and a bottle of shampoo or just wants to have a cup of Starbucks, a manicure and a hairdressing, it is unnecessary for him to drive a long way to the nearest department store. Besides, clusters of big-box stores, supercenters, and strip malls require a large number of salesmen, cleaning crew and managers, which creates job opportunities for the local residents. Those who are former unemployed can make a contribution or even become the bread earners of their families. To be more optimistic, the new town can be shaped into another Singapore, Hong Kong or Paris, developing its economy by drawing worldwide tourists to visit and purchase articles of luxury such as Cartier watches, LV bags, and Chanel cosmetics.
In conclusion, external exercise equipment will yield robust denizens in both objective and subjective ways while internal shopping conditions allow them to enjoy a prosperous economy. To maximize the edges of both sides necessitates rational planning of overall arrangement rather than biased comparison of superiority.

“An increase in the production of consumer goods results in damage to the natural environment. Why is this case? What can be done to reduce this problem?”
随着消费品的生产增加,导致自然环境的损害。这是什么原因?我们可以做什么来减轻这个问题?
参考范文
The high demand of consumer goods has led to the depletion of natural resources as well as environmental degradation. How to reverse this situation should be paid more attention and both the government and individuals should take responsibility for this.
The past decades have witnessed the expansion of human population, which results in the ever-growing requirement for various products such as food, clothing. Not only does this cause the decrease of natural resources, but also contributes to environmental deterioration. An example of this is that people cut down more trees for disposable chopsticks and furniture, leading to deforestation in many areas. This further causes some problems like soil erosion, droughts and change in temperature.
Another reason is that people lack environmental awareness.Otherwise, they would not live a throw-away life and cause some avoidable waste or pollution. A large number of people have not yet realized the importance of recycling, nor are they conscious of the households appliances can end up in landfill sites and these non-biodegradable products can have a destructive effect on the environment.
To cope with this problem, governments should firstly try to raise public's awareness for environmental protection and recycling. Besides, they should also invest heavily in some renewable energy resources such as nuclear, solar or wind energy. Meanwhile, ordinary people should make an effort to consume less and recycle more and classify rubbish in order to reduce the damage of waste.
To sum up, the increase of world population and insufficient environmental consciousness are associated with the issue stated. And to combat with it,every member in the society should take actions.

People's shopping habits depend more on the age group they belong to than any other factor. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
和其他任何因素比起来,人们的.购物习惯更多的取决于他们所在的年龄层,你在多大程度上同意或不同意?
参考范文
Some people think that age is the main factor that affects people's shopping habits but I think this is only true in some cases.
Generally, people would consider what to buy and where to buy by referring to their peer's choices. Children mostly tend to buy things like snacks and toys for fun because these are other kids'favorite. In contrast, when one turns to 40,they might spend more of their savings on family-oriented purchases like groceries and home appliances. Moreover, as age increases, one likes to rely on a few trustworthy shops while younger people are more adventurous and they are inclined to try new stores.
However, age factor is inadequate for explaining one's shopping preference.Financial condition is,in fact, more important. Some young adults who are struggling with tuition fees often look for discounts in malls, but the ones from rich families will be the opposite. Also, gender is another factor that can determine how one spends money.Typically, men are less likely hesitant when they are buying clothes whereas women would spend far more time in comparing before they make the final decision .Men mainly consider shopping as a way to buy necessary items but women would see it as entertainment so that's why they love to stay in a mall for the whole day.
To conclude, age is a common factor that shapes a person's shopping habits.but it is certainly not the crucial reason to explain most people s shopping behavior as financial condition and gender can have stronger impacts as well.
