The voice from the tape was very wonderful and the language was so nice .That time I thought，how wonderful the language is! And if I can speak English as well as the speaker in the tape，that will be amazing! So I asked my mum：“Can I learn English? I really love it!” “Of course you can，but are you sure about it? Can you insist on it?” She was a bit excited. “Of course I can，mum. I love it very much，I want to learn it. ”I said confidently，“Oh，my good kid，you are very good，I am so excited about you are interested in English. ”She gave me a sweet hug. We laughed together. At the beginning，I loved English because it sounds comfortable ,but I can’t believe that how difficult to learn English grammar. Then I felt tired, and I really want to give it up. Firstly, I think you should set an ambition. Sam Walton has told us: High expectation is the key to everything. Ideals are the navigation mark and ambitions are the power for our striving.
Secondly, I think you should think more. Look before you leap, we are impetuous, if we consider everything calmly; there’s nothing that we can not do successfully.
Thirdly, I think you should work hard. An idle youth， a needy age. When we are young we are supposed to struggle, to do everything by ourselves so that we can get more experience for our future. As it’s said the beautiful rainbow always appears after a ding-on and the wealthy harvest always comes from laborious tillage.
Lastly, I think you should have a mood of optimism. Being positive, when we meet the frustration, can help us learn how to he stronger. Cause we are young, there’s no fail if only we try it again. Don’t get dizzy with success, and don’t get upset with failure.
By the way, being in youth doesn’t only mean you are young at your age. Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. I’ve never been self-confident. I wish there were a way I could be.〞 There is a way. You don’t have to be born with self-confidence. Self-confidence can grow and flourish and ripen and blossom until you actually e to feel as though there is a different person inside of you. Here are some insights that might facilitate the quest.
Learn what a self-confident person is really like. They are not cocky, know-it-all people who don’t care what anybody else thinks. They have their doubts. And make mistakes. And are far from perfect. However, they are willing to acknowledge their inadequacies without dwelling on them. They do this by maintaining a sense of humor, putting problems in perspective, and focusing mainly on what they’ve done right, not wrong.
Though self-confident people do believe in
themselves, they don’t try to suffocate others with their ideas or beliefs. They are confident in what they know not only because they read, learn and think but also because they respect their instinct, intuition and the unique body of knowledge that they’ve developed by living life. They realize that one doesnt have to be labeled an “expert〞 to believe in ones own truths.
Self-confident people don’t undermine their own worth by paring themselves with others, only to conclude that they aren’t “good enough〞. They appreciate their strengths and acplishments and can acknowledge, without embarrassment, their weaknesses. They don’t live in the “victim〞 position. Even if something really bad has occurred, they turn it into a challenge, remembering to be grateful for the little things in life.
