　　Most of us were in tears by the time he’d finished his story.

　　2、high-tech devices（高科技设备）。

　　authorities have launched a crackdown on sales of high-tech devices that might be used to cheat on the tests.

　　政府部门已开展了一项打击售卖高科技高考作弊工具的行动。

　　launch：启动，发射，开展……活动

　　Crackdown：严打，镇压

　　如今，看上去普通的尺子、橡皮、眼镜盒、铅笔等都可以成为“作案工具”。常见的作弊工具还：

　　wireless earphones（无线耳机）

　　transmitter-receiver sets（信号收发装置）

　　wireless communication devices（无线通信设备）

　　3、millions of Chinese students are doing some last-minute cramming for the upcoming national college entrance examination

　　数百万考生在为即将到来的高考进行最后的冲刺

　　last-minute cramming：指的是考生在上考试前最后的冲刺，cramming一般用来形容死记硬背、填鸭式的教学。

　　1、After much wavering, he finally gave his permission.

　　2、Quit being wishy-washy and make a decision.

　　bare：做形容词时，意为空的，裸露的，仅有的，稀少的.。做动词时意为裸露，露出。

　　跟bare相关的习语又有哪些呢？

　　1.bare-bones：梗概，本质。

　　例句：This one is the bare-bones model. It has no accessories at all.

　　这是最基本的模型。没有其他的附件。

　　2.bare one’s head：脱帽致敬。

　　例句：Bare your head when the flag is raised.当旗子升起时请脱帽致敬。

　　3.bare the soul：诉衷肠。

　　例句：Mary bared her soul to Jane and Jane told Mary her problems also.玛丽和简互诉衷肠。

　　4.with bare hands：赤手空拳，空手的。

　　例句：I beat him with my bare hands。我赤手空拳地打了他。

　　bare-hand：徒手。

　　Wu Juping caught the baby “bare-handed,” but also broke her arm in the process.

　　1. Give me five!

　　He always gives me a high-five when I win the game.

　　我比赛获胜时，他一向为我雀跃。

　　After the baseball game, high-fives were given all around.

　　2. fiver

　　英语中，以-er结尾的单词通常是指人的，那么 fiver 是指五个人吗？不是，这个词可是跟钱有关的：对于英国人来说，“五英镑”偷懒的讲法，就是这个词；自然，对于美国人来说，这个词也就是指五美元啰！例如：

　　- How much is that mug?

　　那个杯子多少钱?

　　- Fiver.
