　　My friend Leo make up weak and poor excuses whenever there’s something he doesn’t want to do. Just 2 weeks ago, he was at my house when he decided he didn’t want to go into work. He called his boss and said he had to get a new set of tire to put on his truck, then, he sat down and watch TV with me. Not only had he lied, but his excuse wasn’t a very convincing one.Another time he cancel a date with his girlfriend at the last minute, telling her he had to get a new battery for his truck. She was angry and refused to go out with him again until he apologized. Last weekend, Leooffered the poorest excuse yet, he’d promised he’d help me move some furniture from my parents'house to my new apartment, he was suppose to bring his truck over about 8 o’clock Saturday morning, I waited and then called and left a message on his machine. About 11:30，he called and said he was sorry but he’d been getting a new set of tires put on his truck. I guess he’d forgotten he used the same excuse when he called his boss from my house. I think I need a new set of friends and beginning to get tired at Leo’s excuse.

　　我的朋友利奥每当不愿意做某件事的时候就会编造一些糟糕的理由。就在两周之前，他人在我家，但不想去上班。他就打电话给他的老板，说他需要给他的卡车换一副新轮胎，然后他坐下来和我一起看电视。他不但会说谎，而且他的借口也没有说服力。还有一次他在最后一刻取消了和女朋友的约会,告诉她他必须为他的卡车更换新电池。他的女朋友生气了，直到他道歉之后才同意继续和他交往。上周利奥说了最荒唐的谎话,他答应帮我把我父母家中的一些家具搬到我的公寓里来，他应该周六早上8点开车过来,我等着他的到来，给他打了电话，还留了言。大约11点30分时，他打电话来说他正在给他的卡车换新轮胎。我猜他忘记他在我家时给他的老板打电话用的就是这个借口。我想我要交些新朋友，我已经厌倦利奥的解释了。
