I completely agree with Claires perspective onsmall group learning being more beneficial for very young children aged 5 to 11. This age group is at a critical stage of their development where social skills and respect for authority are crucial aspects of their learning journey. In a small group setting, young students have the opportunity to interact closely with their peers, fostering teamwork, communication, and empathy.
Additionally, their natural inclination to respect and look up to their teachers can be further enhanced in a small group learning environment, creating a positive and conducive atmosphere for learning. However, I respectfully disagree with Andrews viewpoint thatolder teenagers aged 14 to 18 can benefit more from small group learning. While it is true that students at this age might be competitive and driven towards their goals, placing them in small groups might lead to increased pressure and unhealthy competition.
Teenagers may feel the need to constantly compare themselves to their peers, which could hinder their personal growth and create unnecessary stress.
