写作是四项语言技能中的一个重要部分，更是语言生成能力的重要表现形式。此部分在试卷中占的权重比较大。
考生应掌握:用准确的语法、词汇、拼写、标点进行表达;
遵循文章的特定文体格式;
合理地组织文章的内容与文字、使其连贯、统一;
根据写作目的和特定读者，具有针对性地写作。
考生写出的文章应满足以下几点：
1.内容完整。2，结构连贯。3，语言准确。4，格式和语域恰当。5，书写清楚。
Write an essay entitled “E-mail” of about 160-200 words in three paragraphs by referring to the following information.
E-mail, i.e. electronic mail, is a product of modern technology. Nowadays, more and more people are exchanging a great variety of information by using this high-tech communication tool, instead of traditional way of mailing letters. Some people think that e-mail makes the relationship among people closer. While some others maintain that it makes people drift apart.
In the first paragraph, state clearly your viewpoint on this issue.
In the second paragraph, support your viewpoint with details or examples.
In the last paragraph, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion.
首先，认真审题，领会要求。这是一篇要求陈述观点的短文。在所提供的两个观点中任选一个，然后进行阐述(注意不是分析正反两方面)。
第二，内容要完整，必须包括三个方面，即观点(论点)，论据和结论。
第三，注意论据的逻辑性，和在写作的过程中论据的衔接，即连词的使用，是文章看上去脉络清晰。

图表作文要求考生首先看懂图表意在表达的内容，然后准确地、条理清晰地进行分析、描述和概括。最后得出的结论。通常在写作时要特别注意以下三点：

图表作文中有时给出很多的数据和事实，但考生不能在作文中像记流水帐一样将这些信息和数据一一罗列，而要根据图表要表达的核心内容，抓住关键的数据和事实作文章。如：曲线的突然变化，百分数的骤升骤降，柱状图中的表示数量或百分比的'柱线的突然升高和降低，以及最高和最低的柱线。

要细心观察图表。凡是图表中出现的内容都可能是有用的，写作时一定要尽量避免遗漏题目中给出的重要信息和数据。审题时必须先弄清楚图表的一些细节问题，如：横坐标、纵坐标各自代表什么，每个格的单位是多少，每种符号的意义是什么等等。

当题目要求通过图表中的内容、变化趋势等分析原因、发表议论时，要注意发表议论必须紧扣主题，不可脱离主题泛泛而谈，或是越扯越远。自始自终都围绕着主题写作，才能使作文符合题目要求，写出成功的作文。

首段：交代该图表表达的内容，即美国能源的基本构成，并总体概述电能是如何获取的。
主体段落：详细描写图表中反映的趋势，分别说明每种能源在电能生产中所占的比重。

The U.S. Energy Sourcesa
This bar chart demonstrates the composition of US energy sources. Every day much electricity was consumed throughout the United States. But there is an amazing thing about electricity, that is, it doesn’t exist in nature in a form that we can use or find directly. How do we get the stuff that comes into our houses and offices, shopping malls and factories? In fact, it is obtained by converting other forms of energy.
As we all know, electricity can be generated by means of hydro. However, it supplies only 10.5 percent of American capacity for generating electricity. Most of it is provided by steam that comes from boiling water. Steam factories for generating electricity cost a great deal of gas, oil or coal. The greatest US energy source comes from coal, accounting for 46.5 percent of the total production of electricity. The percentage of coal is four times greater than that of hydro. 16.9 percent and 13.7 percent of the country’s power is obtained by burning oil and gas respectively, which is an indispensable part in the production of electricity. obviously, due to the ever-increasing use of energy, there must be an energy crisis in the future. So it is necessary to get energy from other sources. Nuclear fuels, for instance, are used to generate electricity, and nuclear power makes up 12.4 percent of the total production of electricity.
