当一些英语单词比较长而无法用合成记忆法和构词分析法来识记时,我们就可以运用庖丁解牛法尝试一下。此法原理出自中学课本里的古文《庖丁解牛》所记叙的故事。文中说庖丁在解剖牛体时,技艺高超,动作敏捷,姿态优雅,原因就是他对牛体的骨架脉络结构了然在胸,知道关键环节之所在,故能操刀自如,游刃有余。据此,对于那些较长的单词,我们可以先仔细观察其词形特征,从便于记忆的角度出发,将其人为地分解成自己所熟悉的单词、英文字母和汉语拼音、拼音字母或拼音的首字母,然后用奇特联想法串起来,造成了深刻印象,就能达到以旧带新、速记单词的目的。庖丁解牛法实际上就是合成记忆法、构词分析法以及借梯上楼法融合之后的演变,当属英语单词的 说文解字 之三。
