　　The light in the dust lies dead;

　　When the cloud is scattered,

　　波西比希雪莱(Percy Bysshe Shelley1792—1822)英国诗人这首爱的悲歌首阙一连三个奇绝的类比，引导出突如其来的恩断情绝。失败的爱中,总是弱者受伤惨重,不仅终身伤痕难愈、泪水难干,含恨而死之后还会遭到冷落与嘲弄。译语用韵奇险,有助于再现原作的氛围,更加催人泪下。
