今天是除夕夜，老家洞头一片欢腾。大家都在熬夜，只为迎接新年的到来。
我和爸爸先是去庙里供佛。刚进庙，便看见一尊巨大的佛像。佛坐在一朵莲花上，盘腿坐着。秃头，大眼，挺鼻，显得十分慈祥。只见爸爸拿了供品摆在桌上，又抓来一捆香，用蜡烛点着了。当尖端烧成橙色时，香的头便冒出一股清烟，放射出微亮的光芒。爸爸口中念念有词，说罢，朝佛像拜了三拜，将一小捆烧着的香供在佛像面前。
