In the days when a womans entire obligation was to be a good daughter,a good wife and a good mother,men and women were far from equal.Women suffered sexual discrimination until the so-called feminism came into being.Nowadays,feminism has been running for over a century.Result? It ran into the extreme of "equality" from my perspective.
Most of us agree that men and women should enjoy equality in this modern society.But what on earth does this equality mean? To be "equal",those for feminism would like to share everything with men they split bills,apply for masculine jobs,etc.They intended to buy in all the advantages and disadvantages of being a man.On their long journey to the "equal world",theyve forgotten some basic facts they ARE women.Even school children know that women,after all,are different from men both physically and mentally.It is unwise,or even stupid,to ignore all these differences and pursue a so called "equal world".We couldnt expect a man to give birth to a baby as we couldnt expect the sun to rise in the west.Likewise,we couldnt expect a woman to become the worlds fastest runner,as is simple,but seems forgotten by those feminists.
Equality is not bisecting everything.Real equality should be built upon the common sense of the basic sexual differences.Since some of the jobs can only be done well enough by men,women should not feel discriminated when we fail.After all,therere also some jobs,which can only be perfectly done with womens hands.These are not symbols of inequality,but natural laws.What really counts is equality in rights,reputation,etc.Only when all the individuals value the spirit of being equal can women really enjoy equality with men.

Should men and women be equal? Different people have different ideas on this issue.Some people think that men are superior to women,because men are physically strong.They are better at heavy labor work.And they can also carry on the family lines and hold the important positions.However,other people don’t agree on this idea.They believe that women are as capable as men.Sometimes,women can even do a lot of things better than men,for they are more careful,patient,and responsible.Now there have been so many women leaders and women scientists in the world.Accordingly,we shouldn’t look down upon women.Instead,men and women should be given the equal right and chance to study and work,so that they can do some even greater contributions to our nation.As far as I am concerned,I am in favor of the latter.

Women seemed to be the least important creatures in the world in ancient times in China.At that time the criterion whether a woman was good or not was obedient.It meant that women were subordinate to men,not to mention the so-called liberty or equality.What they have was just the responsibility of taking care of the household.
As time goes by,tremendous changes have happened to women’s status.Being permitted to receive education makes women have the chance to compete with men and change their destinies.Nowadays,such cases are ordinary that people work together regardless of gender and even Women are in a leadership role.Wornen’s status arrives at an unprecedented level which can be called as equality to some extent.
However,the situation is not so optimistic as the majority of women think.In effect,women are far from being equal to men as a result of the inveterate superiority of men.Although thepeople keeps on saying that women should be treated equally,the idea that men are better than women still exerts a subtle influence on people’s minds.When we open a recruitment ad ,"only men are eligible" is dazzling right thereThat is the reality.
In my opinion,the concept that people subconsciously tend to value men will not change in a short time.Because weakness of attitude can become weakness of character.Women have characteristic disadvantages that they fail to contend with themselves.However,what I want to point out here is that some women despise themselves and they rely on men.Women think it is perfectly justified for men to open door for them and pay for dinner.Does it make senseHow can you ask others to treat you equally while you have admitted the inequality in advance

I dont think the concept is based on science.It cant be denied that men take a dominant position in strength,logical thinking etc.,but there are characteristic advantages women have anyhow,in which men fail to contend with them.Consequently,men are no better than women.Policewomen,women pilots,and women astronauts,all these will prove the ability women own to the public.As a result,women get more and more aware of their own values.Despite its hardships and high costs,lots of them are trying their best to change the prejudice of the society.
However,what I want to point out here is that not only men have the prejudice,but some women themselves do too.Eyen those who claim to long for equality with men have the double standard of equality.On one hand,they demand equal opportunity; on the other hand,they take "lady first" for granted,considering that it is perfectly justified for men to open door for them,offer their own seats to them,pay for dinner for them.Does it make sense? How can you ask others to treat you equally while you yourself have admitted the inequality in advance?
In short,I think as long as our sense doesnt completely change,the real equality between men and women wont come.
