　　晚上，妈妈检查作业时发现一本新图画本变成了薄薄的几页纸。于是我把美术课上的事一五一十地告诉了妈妈。妈妈脸上没有一丝生气的表情，她站起身打开电脑，叫我去看。电脑上有几幅图片还有一段话，上面写着：爱护树木，树木是我们的.朋友;节约用纸，浪费一千张纸就等于毁灭一棵小树。我想起科学课上老师说过，树木可以防止水土流失，抵挡沙尘暴，树木还可以净化空气，美化环境……想到这些，我惭愧地低下了头。

　　“妈妈，我错了。”我悄悄地对妈妈说。妈妈摸了摸我的头，轻轻地说：“你明白就好，现在有这么好的学习条件是不容易的，你要学会珍惜，就让我们从节约一张纸，从一件件小事做起。”

　　从这以后，“从节约一张纸做起，从一件件小事做起。”这句话深深地刻在了我的心里。
