In the afternoon,I went to the mountain with my grandfather,uncle,mother,brother and brother to sweep grandma's grave.In front of grandma's tomb,Grandpa cut a small tree with a mountain knife,ed it on Grandma's tomb,hung the mountain money on the small tree,and then lit candles and firecrackers.Finally,we all paid three respects in front of grandma's tomb before leaving.
On the way home,I asked my mother,"why do you sweep tombs on Tomb Sweeping Day?" Mother said,"it is a fine tradition of the Chinese nation to sweep the tombs of deceased relatives on Tomb Sweeping Day.Sweeping the tombs is a concrete manifestation of commemorating our ancestors,remembering our relatives and filial piety.Whether we are alive or dead,we should respect,love and be grateful."
After listening to my mother's words,I understood the significance of Tomb Sweeping on Tomb Sweeping Day.
