突出语言综合运用能力的考核
本次高考英语的试卷覆盖了上海英语课程标准的基本要求,突出了对考生英语综合运用能力的考核。如语法题强调学生在语篇语境中运用语法基础知识的能力;语篇阅读部分突出了语篇整体理解和语用功能,考核了学生运用阅读中获取的信息解决问题的能力;写作题则要求考生根据所给情景发现问题,然后给出针对性建议,体现了一定的交际性。

本次高考英语试卷语言材料不仅题材新颖,具有时代感,如网络求医、现代商战、数字化时代的记忆性学习等,而且试卷语料所用语言与英美国家真实的生活、学习、工作中所用的语言一致。作文主题与徒步活动有关,学生可以从不同的视角出发,针对所给活动方案提出更合理的修改建议。魏孟勋老师说,“这次作文不是为写而写,而是在一个具体情景中的.交际活动。”
难易设置合理,考核点分布均匀
罗鹏教授认为,试卷难易度设置合理,试题编排由易到难,呈现坡度,有一定的区分度,有利于高校选拔人才。何亚男老师表示,今年的高考英语秉承了高考英语命题一贯的优良传统:如语法填空题考点的设置遵循“基础、常见、实用”的原则;完形填空多为句子层次和语篇层次的考查,需要学生从上下文寻找答题线索。
体现对学生核心素养的重视
唐晓澐老师认为,试卷命题目标清晰,指向英语学科的核心素养,如语言能力、文化品格、思维品质和学习能力等。试卷特别重视对思维品质的考量,如新增的概要写作题型,除了考查学生的语言运用能力,还体现了对学生思维品质的要求。
听说题材鲜活,引导关注生活
听说测试话题多为考生所熟悉的校园生活及日常生活,如:校园开放日、博物馆课程、祖孙情深,同时也会涉及到一些社会热点问题,比如:爱心冰箱、环境保护、人机大战等。这些场景的设置是在20分钟的考试时间内,给考生还原了一个个真实的情境,切实做到了让考生有话可说,既考查了学生英语语言的掌握又考查知识和能力的运用,同时在试題中还融入了英语学科德育的思想,宣扬了社会正能量。

A boy walked along Carver Street, singing a sad song. He walked with his head down. Once he looked up and noticed the sign across the empty street, painted on the side of an old house. On the sign a big woman with yellow hair and a five-mile smile held out a big bottle. “Coca-Cola. Drink Coca-Cola,” the sign said.
“Boy!” the silence was cut by a sudden cry. He turned around quickly to see who had called.
An old woman was standing at her door.
“You boy! Come here this minute!”
