　　Dear friends! Do you still remember your first English teacher? You may say:” Yes.” Everyone has his teachers, in my mind, I’ll never forget her---my first English teacher Ms. Li. Without her, I wouldn’t be standing here. She is a young and lovely lady with beautiful eyes. Her voice sounds sweet and she speaks English very well. That was the first impression she left on us when she first gave us an English lesson.

　　In her class, she taught us carefully and patiently. she has a strange way of making her class lively and interesting. She always made opportunities for us to speak English. She gave us many beautiful pictures to talk on them, played games with us and told us many interesting stories. She made us learn from games. We learned English with great fun. After class she helped the students who had trouble in learning English.

　　Little by little, I had interest in English, but English was a new subject to me, I had many difficulties in learning it well. I often felt very confused. Even though I wanted to give up learning English. It was Ms. Li who helped me to find ways to overcome my difficulties. She helped me to practice speaking English everyday. She always encouraged me whenever I lost heart. She helped me to have confidence in myself. She gave me what I needed, courage, confidence, good ways to learn

　　Hello, everyone! I am Chai Yun from Class 11, Grade 7. Today I am going to tell you a story called “Two heads are better than one”. I am sure you can learn something from it. One day, an elephant met a monkey. “Look, how big and strong I am!” the elephant said. “I can break a tree, can you break a tree?” “Look, how quickly I can run and climb!”said the monkey.“Can you climb a tree?”

　　The elephant was very proud because he was so strong, and the monkey was also proud because he was so quick. But which is better, to be strong or to be quick? They didn’t know.

　　“The rabbit will tell us. Let’s go to her .”said the monkey. And they went to the rabbit and said.“Tell us what you think about it. Which is better, to be strong or to be quick?” The rabbit said to them, “Do what I tell you, and then you will see which is better. Do you see that big apple tree across the river? Go and pick some apples for me.”So the elephant and the monkey went to the river. The river was so deep and the monkey was afraid to swim.

　　“I can carry you ,” said the elephant. “I’m big and strong so I’m not afraid to swim.” The monkey sat down the elephant’s back, and they swam to the bank. Elephant tried to pick apples from it, but the apples were too high, so he can’t reach them.

　　“I can climb up the tree.”said the monkey. He climbed up the tree and threw some apples to the ground. The elephant picked them up. Then they gave some apples to the rabbit. “Now tell us.”they said.“Which is better, to be strong or to be quick?”

　　“How can I tell you which is better?”answered the rabbit.“You, elephant, you, monkey, you couldn’t get the apples without anyone. Everybody has his own good points. But two heads are better than one.”

　　Today, I will tell you a talk about my family. I hope you enjoy it.

　　I have a happy family, I love my family very much.

　　There are five people in my family. They are my grandfather, grandmother,

　　father , mother and I.

　　I love mother best. She gives me a lot of love .I remember when I was very young. I was ill in bed, mother looked very worried and looked after me carefully. She told the story of ‘‘ Fighter mother and her children ’’ to me and sang the song of ‘‘Mum, I want to be back ’’ for me. She also did all kinds of things to make me happy. I looked at my mother’s face and said to her ‘‘Mum, do you feel tired ? ’’ When my mother heard that, she smiled and answered ‘‘ No , my child .I don’t feel tired , but I feel happy.’’ ‘‘Happy? Why ?’’ I asked. ‘‘ No why , only because you are my dear daughter .’’ Mother answered. ‘‘ But mum, I can’t understand.’’ I said. Mother told me that I would know when I grew older. Today I know my mother loves me deeper than other things.

　　My father is my dear friend. In spring we often plant trees together; In summer father likes to take me to swim in the river ; In autumn we often go to see the sun late in the afternoon ; When winter comes we usually play with snow.

　　I love my grandparents too. They are very kind. I often cried when I was very young, they always held my hands , took me outside and played.

　　And last one is me. I am a lovely girl. I like reading and writing best. My hobby is flying kites in spring. That was very fun.
