英语精彩问题之传统面试问题（Sample Traditional Interview Questions）
1、“What can you tell me about yourself？” （“关于你自己，你能告诉我些什么？”）
This is not an invitation to give your life history. The interviewer is looking for clues about your character， qualifications， ambitions， and motivations.
这一问题如果面试没有安排自我介绍的时间的话。这是一个必问的问题。考官并不希望你大谈你的个人历史。是在寻找有关你性格、资历、志向和生活动力的线索。来判断你是否适合读MBA。
The following is a good example of a positive response. “In high school I was involved in competitive sports and I always tried to improve in each sport I participated in. As a college student， I worked in a clothing store part-time and found that I could sell things easily. The sale was important， but for me， it was even more important to make sure that the customer was satisfied. It was not long before customers came back to the store and specifically asked for me to help them. I‘m very competitive and it means a lot to me to be the best.”

2、 “What would you like to be doing five years after graduation？” （“在毕业以后5年内你想做些什么？”）
Know what you can realistically accomplish. You can find out by talking to others MBA about what they accomplished in their first five years with a particular company after graduation.
“I hope to do my best I can be at my job and because many in this line of work are promoted to area manager， I am planning on that also.” 你要清楚你实际上能胜任什么。你可以事先和其他的MBA 交流一番。问问他们在毕业后在公司的头5年都做了些什么。
可以这样回答：“我希望能在我的职位上尽力做好工作，由于在同一领域工作的许多人都被提为区域负责人，所以我亦有此打算。”
3. “What is your greatest strength”？“ （”你最突出的优点是什么？“） 这是很多面试考官喜欢问的一个问题。
This is a real opportunity to toot your own horn. Do not brag or get too egotistical， but let the employer know that you believe in yourself and that you know your strengths.

”I feel that my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done. I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job and it turns out just as I’d planned. I‘ve set some high goals for myself. For example， I want to graduate with highest distinction. And even though I
had a slow start in my freshman year， I made up for it by doing an honor’s thesis.“

4. “What is your greatest weakness？”（“你最大的弱点是什么？”） You cannot avoid this question by saying that you do not have any， everyone has weaknesses.
The best approach is to admit your weakness but show that you are working on it and have a plan to overcome it. If possible， cite a weakness that will work to the company‘s advantage. “I’ m such a perfectionist that I won‘t stop until a job is well done.
你不应该说你没有任何弱点，以此来回避这个问题；每个人都有弱点。最佳策略是承认你的弱点，但同时表明你在予以改进，并有克服弱点的计划。

Never apologize for what you have done.
”I think I did well in school. In fact， in a number of courses I received the highest exam scores in the class.“ ”As an intern for the X Company， I received some of the highest evaluations that had been given in years.
绝不要对你以前的所作所为表示内疚。

【问】Please introduce yourself.（自我介绍）
面试者常常以这样的问题开始。记住，这不是英语课上的self-introduction，面试官们想要听到的不是你的个人生活，而是你的工作技巧。因此，不要说一些无意义的话，"I was born in Taipei," "I like to play computer games," 或是 "I have two brothers." 告诉面试官们有关你职业生涯的发展，或是你从过去的工作经验中学到的东西。
【问】Do you have any actual work experience？（你有实际的工作经验吗？）
如果尚未开始工作，就可以回答“Right now I'm still a student.”（现在我还是个学生。）或者说“I'm a recent grad and I haven't started working yet.”（我刚刚毕业，还没有开始工作。）“recent grad”是“recent graduate”的缩写，意思是刚刚毕业。如果你有工作经验，哪怕仅仅是学生时代的part-time job，也不要谦虚，大胆讲出来。比起没有任何经验的green hand，用人单位自然是更喜欢experienced person。
【问】What is your greatest weakness？（你最大的缺点是什么？）
西方老板特别爱问这个问题，让面试者感到很紧张。事实上，他问这个问题是看你对棘手问题的反应。你没必要如实回答你的弱点，因为那有可能让你得不到这份工作。所以，要么你告诉他们一些与工作不直接相关的弱点，但更加聪明的做法是“明贬实褒”，继续推销你自己！不过，切忌只是简单的罗列，如："I'm really organized, punctual and get along well with others."，一定要给出具体的例子，"For example " 并解释你在之前的工作中是如何运用此特长的。
【问】Why do you feel you are qualified for this job?（你为什么觉得自己能胜任这份工作？）
这时候你要充分发挥你的“自夸”本领。你可以讲述一些简历资料里面没有包括的技能；或者是再详细强调一下你的特长。而通过这个问题，雇主们更想知道你能带给公司什么。因此，不要以"Umm," "I don't know," "It seemed like a good career move," 或是 "I haven't been able to find anything else interesting." 来回答他们，而是要让他们了解你很清
楚公司的运营模式以及你对此工作非常有积极性。
【问】Why did you leave your last job? （你为什么辞掉了之前的一份工作？）
可能你上一份工作非常的糟糕，但是面试并不是谈论这个问题的合适的场合。就算是真的，也不要对你现有的或是过去的雇主或是同事进行负面还是武断的评论："I didn't agree with the company's direction," "I got no recognition for my work," "My boss was totally unreasonable." 象这样的评论会让你听起来不可理喻。
【问】What kind of salary did you have in mind?（你希望拿多少薪水？）
是不是觉得这个问题挺棘手的？如果你不好意思提出要求，或者想给雇主一个比较谦虚的印象，你可以说Money is important, but the challenge as well as the responsibility that goes along with this job is what interests me the most.（薪水固然重要，但这工作伴随而来的挑战和责任更吸引我。）当然，你也可以用较调侃地语气暗示你未来的老板，你希望薪水不要太低，To be frank and open with you, I like this job, but I have a family to support.（坦白地说，我喜欢这份工作，不过我必须要负担我的家庭。）
【问】If hired, when could you start work? （如果雇佣的话，你什么时候开始工作？） 回答这个问题时。一定要注意！不要说我马上可以工作。那会让对方认为你非常迫切地需要这份工作。一个非常保险的回答可以是“I can start at the beginning of next month.”（我下月初可以开始上班。）
【问】Do you have any questions for me? （你有什么问题要问的吗？）
面试官通常以此问题结束面试。询问具体的问题以显示你非常了解该公司，但却希望了解更多的内容。不要问那些你早就该知道答案的问题，例如，"What does your company do?" 或是"Could you tell me your name again?" 此外，不要问薪水或是和假期相关的问题："When do you give raises?" "How much vacation time can I expect?" 在听到了他们告诉你，"We'd like to offer you the job."才去问此类的问题。
这里还有几个最简单的要诀，说不定对你的临场表现有帮助。
★ 多用动词和简单的短句。短句除了可以直接、清楚地表达自己的想法，也会让面试官觉得，你是个有行动力、做事明确的人。
★ 避免非正式用词，并注意礼节。 最好不要使用像“you guys”这样的非正式的字眼，让面试官觉得不够稳重。另外，除非主考官请你直呼其名，例如“You can call me John”，否则还是应该尊称对方的姓。
★ 千万不要为了准备接下来要讲的话，而显得心不在焉。在英语面试之前，应该先准备好自己要回答的内容，面试当中，才能专注聆听主考官讲的话，而不是在心里盘算下一句该讲什么，让面试官觉得你看起来没有自信或准备不足。
