4.Now it is time to introduce the content.This party is also an English Competition ,divided into three parts .
现在请允许我介绍一下本次活动的细节。本次英语聚会也是一场英语比赛。共分为三个部分：
The first is called “show what you have”. During this part ,the competitors need to recite passages of New Concept 2.
The second part is named “think what you need”,in this part ,the competitors should make an instant speech by selecting topic.
In the last part ,competitors are asked certain questions by the host ,then answer these questions.
第一部分是展示环节，选手要求背诵一篇新概念2里的文章。本环节满分50分，以一个单词为计算单位，错一个减一分。

TOPIC: Chinese national sport
RHETORICAL PURPOSE: TO inform
SPECIFIC PURPOSE: to inform my classmates about the history and influence of ping-pong
THESIS: In today's reform and opening up, in order to improve the level of the physical quality of the whole nation, further encouraging the national spirit, in the tide of actively carry out the national fitness program, table tennis activities in our country is becoming more fashion, more and more people in their rest day to participate in the sport.
Introduction
Ⅰ.Attention-getting device: Do you like sports? What sports you can? ( Basketball, football, badminton, volleyball ,ping-pong) Do you know what our national sport is? As a contemporary college students , it is good to learn not only book knowledge, but also has certain physical quality, we should be more understanding of our country's sports strength——ping-pong.
Ⅱ.Thesis: By more than 60 years since the founding of new China table tennis gradually entering the column of the table tennis world powers, the people have to play table tennis as an important part of the exercise, whether in the cities or the countryside, whether government agencies or large primary and secondary schools, table tennis is everywhere.
