Talking of scenery and landscape, there are many similarities and contrasts between 中国 and Canada. Both have land masses that are among the world's largest. Both have some of the world' s most impressive mountains, rivers and lakes. But each has things that are special to itself. The Chinese are surprised by the fact that Canadian fur traders of the early years were actually able to sail on canoes from the Atlantic to the Pacific through thousands upon thousands of lakes spread out from eastern to western Canada, while Canadians find the mountains drawn by Chinese painters on scrolls utterly surreal. No Chinese visitors would leave Canada contented without seeing the'Niagara Falls.

No Canadian visitors to 中国 would feel satisfied just seeing the Great Wall without also touring the Three Gorges, for that matter.

The exhibition of scenery of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan brings us to yet another world. To those who have been to 中国, it will provoke reminiscences and to those who have not been to 中国, it may prove to be an irresistible invitation.

Not wanting to bore you with my pale description, Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like you now to join me in marvelling at these works of art.

Let’s smile

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! It’s really a great honor for me to give you such a speech. Today my topic is “Let’s smile ”. I hope you will like it . You know, I’m a green hand at teaching, so I’ve been seeking ways to gain popularity from my students. You may wonder whether I’ve found one or not. Yes. In my opinion, smiling is the best way of teaching. When I had just taught for a few months last year, I found most of the students didn’t have good listening habits. Each time, I asked them questions, lots of them kept silent, which made me very angry. So I always had a serious expression on my face.

One day, I prepared well for a new lesson and I was very happy, too. For the free talk, I asked one student: What did you do last week? After his answering, I asked the others: “What did he do last week? ”To my surprise, nobody put up their hands, but I had no idea. I wanted to shout but I controlled myself sadly. So I called one to answer. He stood up slowly without saying anything, even a “sorry”. Then I named another one, he also didn’t say a word, just like a statue, standing there. Finally, I asked a student whom I think she can answer it well,.But she didn’t hear me at all, sitting there, absent in class. At that time, I couldn’t help shouting: “What are you doing? Every time I told you: Listen, listen, listen carefully! Didn’t you hear? I can’t bear your silence! ”All the students sat there quitely. And I left the classroom with tears in my eyes. The days followed, I felt down and always had a bad mood, especially in class.

A few days later, a student wrote a letter to me: “Dear Miss Lian, I miss your smile. The first time you entered the classroom, what impressed me most was your big smile. You seemed so nice and beautiful at that time. To tell you the truth, you are not as beautiful as before, because there is no smile on your face…”

After reading the short letter, I looked into the mirror---the frown did make me ugly. “Smile , smile”, I said to myself. The next day, I entered the classroom with a big smile, and all the students said “Good morning, Miss Lian” cheerfully. In that class, I never scold them even they can’t answer my questions, I still smiled to them and said: “Please be brave! Don’t be shy!” “Never mind, think it over, sit down, please” or “Linda, you must listen carefully in class, understand?” Unexpectedly, more and more students started to put up their hands and shouted “let me try!let me try!”. It makes me excited. After that, I found the students are friendly to me and they are willing to say “Hello and Goodbye” to me. We became good friends gradually.

From then on, I realized that the best way of teaching is smiling, rather than showing anger or criticizing. It is unfortunate for the students when the teacher never breaks a smile. A smile tells the students that we enjoy our teaching. If we are happy about what we are teaching, the children will pay more attention to what we teach. A smile also tells the students that we can tolerate their mistakes, and we are happy to be there with them. Smiling will also tend to make our teaching more active. What’s the most important, smiling can make us more beautiful or handsome.

It is smile that makes my life wonderful.

It is smile that makes me feel confident.

It is smile that makes me different.

As a student major in designing, the imagination and creativity is indispensable in studying and life. This experience gives me a deeper understanding of benefits that creativity brings to life. 首先，创意对于生活而言，是变化。生活，是包罗万象，不是一层不变，是不断变化，不是平淡无奇的。而创意，不管创意本生的大小，它能带给生活的，是变化，是惊喜，是快乐，是独特，为的就是让人觉得新鲜，眼前一亮，印象深刻。如：创意无限的广告，独一无二的品牌logo，新奇的家居设计品等。这些创意都是生活的附属品，为生活增添颜色，让生活中充满不同的色彩。

First of all, originality means changing. Life is all-bracing, not invariable. It keeps changing instead of being featureless. And for creativity, no matter its size or importance, what it brings to life is variation, surprise, joy and uniqueness. Its purpose is to sparkle in front of the crowd and impress them deeply.
