statistics show that strecomes from every detail in our life . financial problems , poor health , being laid off may be the strethat most adults now suffering . as students in the university , we are also under our special stre. while study , having to take various tests and submit a project against a deadline may put a great pressure on us . and the things make us felt stressed may be our

parents’s greater expectations on us than we could reach . later , when we are likely to graduate , some other problems will also annoy us . i think we will worry a lot about our ability to compete in the job market and how we can best use what we’ve learned at college in our future job .

the chief problem we should face to is our atitude towards stre.people usually say they can not live in the sun except they escape from stre. it’s unwelcome ! yes , however , very necessary . just image a world where stredoes not exist and people lead their life in a very comfortable way . but is this kind of living condition as perfect as we hope ? without stre, they may feel very satisfied with the current life but lack of power to discover new things . too much satisfaction result in nothing except a countermarch of the society . no stre, no development . so a certain amount of streis good . it can stimulate us and increase our level of alertne.

and our answer to streis another vital problem . how to do with ourselves when stresuddenly break into our life ? to wave the white flag and admit our unability , to give up to our ideality , or

worstly , just to suicide as to put an end to everything … of cause not . the principle is to tackle with stregentlely and harmoniously. we should try our best to release ourselves . such as to do some exercise , to linsen to traditional chinese music or classical music to ease our minds and to learn to view these changes of life as

challenges .it’s no use crying over spilt milk . only to accept what has happened can solve the problem .

Fisrt,I think we should know when is Christmas day.Yeah,it's December twenty-fifth.

And why choose this day?We need to know the feast of Christmas.It's a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. Today,it has become a national holiday which can be compared with the New Year.It is similar to the Spring Festival in China.

How to celebrate it?Let me introduce you the customs and traditional activites in the following time.The night of December twenty-forth is called Christmas Eve.On Christmas,people don't go to work and children don't go to school.Before the day comes,people must prepare for Christmas trees,Christmas lights,Christmas cards.On Christmas eve, we know an traditional activity called carolling.They sing many Christmas carols .Before go to sleep,the children hang a stocking at the end of their beds for Santa's presents.And they often wake up early in the Christmas day to check the presents.Then the family will have a big Christmas dinner.

In the Western, each family need to prepare a Christmas tree to enhance the festive atmosphere. Christmas tree is generally made with evergreen such as cypress It is a symbol of life forever. Christmas tree often decorated with a variety of candles, flowers, toys, stars and all kinds of Christmas gifts. On Christmas Eve, people around the Christmas tree are singing and dancing.

On Christmas Eve, Christmas caroling has become an indispensable program. The team is made up of about twenty young people, plus a little girl who dressed as an angel and a Santa Claus.When they went to a family,they will sing some familiar Christmas carols like "Silent Night", "Jingle Bells" and so on,The songs mostly is about the birth of Jesus.Then all of people prayed together and Santa Claus will deliver the Christmas gifts.The activity continue until about four o'clock the next morning.

Although everyone enjoys Christmas Day,it is particularly enjoyed by children,who get very excited because of the presents. It is said that there was a kind old man whose name was Saint Nicholas. He often helped the poor and gave presents to them. Today, Santa Claus is an imaginary figure, but nearly all children believe in him. They think he is a happy old man with a long white beard and a long red robe.Another name for Santa Claus is Father Christmas.

People always wake up early. in the Christmas morning Some people may go to a Christmas morning church service .But most people will just watch the special Christmas programmes TV or play party games but the mothers will be in the kitchen preparing Christmas Dinner.

Everyone enjoy it,because Christmas dinner is the main meal of the day, some families arrange it at lunch, and some families arrange it at dinner.Major food for the Christmas meal is turkey or roast goose, puddings and a variety of cookies such as the golden butter cookies, fruit cookies and so on. The custom of eating turkey is popular in the Unite States from 1620 And British Christmas dinner is roast goose.

The name Christmas is short for 'Christ's Mass'. A Mass is a kind of Church service. Christmas is a religious festival. It is the day we celebrate as the birthday of Jesus.

The birth of Jesus had a story: In Nazareth, a city of Galilee. The virgin's name was Mary was betrothed to Joseph. Before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Joseph her husband was minded to put her away secretly. While he thought about these things, Gabriel, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and told him did not be afraid to take Mary as wife. And Mary will bring forth a Son, and he shall call his name, Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.

And that, Christmas is the feast of the nativity of Jesus, is on 25th, December every year. But nobody know the actual birthday of Jesus. And the Christmas has become popular when Christmas cards appeared in 1846 and the concept of a jolly Santa Claus was first made popular in nineteenth Century.

Christmas Eve is also commonly says Christmas Eve ,and the family reunion in the sitting room, will be around the tree to sing Christmas carols and exchange gifts, and share the joys and sorrows of a life, express the wish and love.

The red and white sceneries is Santa Claus, He is the most popular pepole. Western children on Christmas Eve will put a sock near the fireplace or a pillow before going to sleep, They thought Santa Claus will fill it with gifts in the sleep.

It si said that Santa Claus would drive reindeer sleigh full guild to send gifts for the children on Christmas Eve, he would enter into the house quietly by the chimney, put present in stocking.which hangs on the head of a bed .So the children always strips of colour profusion stockings at the head of a bed, and hope that Santa Claus would send a gift for himself. The next day , every child can't wait to open the ritual, want to know what his reward.

Christmas tree really appear in Germany, after the first introduced to Europe and America, and become the indispensable Christmas decorations. A traditional Christmas dinner in America includes stuffed turkey , mashed potatoes, , and a variety of other dishes. Roast turkey is the most popular main course not only in the United States, Favorite desserts include mince pie or pumpkin pie, and fruitcake. Eggnog is a popular Christmas beverage （饮料） in many homes. In Britain, Christmas dinner is eaten at noon, and the dinner usually includes roast turkey or goose, Christmas pudding with mince pies, and accompanied by wine.

据说平安夜的晚上，圣诞节老公公会驾着驯鹿雪橇满载着礼物准备送点这一年来表现很好的小朋友，他会悄悄地从烟囱爬进屋内，礼物塞在挂在床头的袜子里。所以孩子总会把一条条色彩缤纷的袜子挂在床头，希望送份大礼给自己。隔天每个小朋友都迫不及待地打开礼，想知道自己得到什么奖励。

然而圣诞树真正出现在圣诞节，首先见于德国，之后又传入欧洲和美国，成为圣诞节不可或缺的装饰物。每棵树的顶端必定有一棵特大的星星，像征着那颗引导东方三博士找到耶稣的星星。

在美国，圣诞节宴席上的传统食物有填馅的火鸡、土豆泥等。烤火鸡不但在美国，在加拿大、澳大利亚和新西兰也是圣诞宴席上最普遍的主菜。人们最喜欢的饭后甜点包括甜馅饼或南瓜馅饼、李子布丁和水果蛋糕。蛋奶酒是许多家庭喜欢的饮料。在英国，圣诞宴在中午举行，传统食品有烤火鸡或烤鹅、圣诞布丁、甜馅饼和葡萄酒。
