Good day to everyone. Today the title of speech is “share the games, share our dreams”.

To start with, I would like to share one of my experience with you. Memory takes me back to 2012. That was my first time to participate in my school’s sports meeting for long jump, I was too nervous to be in my best mental condition. And the result was even worse than I expected. I slipped as I was going down. Even today I can clearly see the scar on my leg. But I still regard it as one of my most precious experiences. A famous youth athlete Huang Hai Qiang said whatever the result is success or failure, the way we play the game and the joy we experience while doing it are what we should actually enjoy, the sportsmanship and the dreams we have always go first.

Just as the slogan of the Youth Olympic Games goes “share the games, share our dreams”, it conveys the concept that YOG is a platform for intercommunication and rehearsal for future among the youth. On this platform, young people from all over the world build up a bridge of communication, mutual understanding and respect between different cultures. Also, based on the conception of building a common dream with friendship, unity, cooperation, and mutual encouragement, they contribute their youth and wisdom for the progress of human social civilization and harmonious development to create a promising future.

As a high school student, I have an obligation to open the doors to the world and be together towards a better future. Also we should celebrate the best of our youth for ourselves, embrace the world with open arms and pass on the Olympic spirit of sportsmanship.
