一位牧师正在向周围的一群听众讲解教义。牧师的声音很好听，而且他能把那些平常令非教徒感觉枯燥无味的教义讲解得非常生动。他说：“上帝深爱着他的每一位子民，并且给予了他们同样公平的机会和能力，只不过有的人对深藏在自己体内的能力发掘得较早，而有的人则晚一点而已。只要不放弃，每个人都会得到上帝的帮助。”最后他以一句非常富有感情的话作为这次讲解教义的结束语：“共同努力吧，每一位上帝珍爱的子民，每一位从天而降的完美天使!”

当牧师准备走下讲坛的时候，周围的群众当中有人表示，牧师的讲解虽然煽动人心，可是却并没有正确地按照事实说话。所以这些人要直接与牧师对话，希望牧师能够解答他们心中的疑问。牧师表示十分愿意和他们一起面对难题。

首先向牧师提出疑问的是一位嗓门很大的青年男子。这位男子用右手食指指着自己的塌鼻子对牧师说：“如果像你说的那样，上帝对他的每一位子民都是公平的，那他为什么把别人塑造成漂亮的天使，而我却长着这样一个难看的鼻子?”

青年男子的话引起了周围人的一阵轰笑。也许他们是在笑能言善辩的牧师遇到了难题，也许是在对青年男子的自嘲感到好笑，但是他们的这阵笑声却更令青年男子感到不开心。他认为众人是在嘲笑自己的塌鼻子，所以直直地瞪着牧师，等待牧师的回答。

牧师依然微笑着，依然用自己娓娓动听的声音回答了青年男子的问题：“你当然也是上帝最珍爱的完美天使，只不过在从天而降的时候，你的鼻子先着地而已。”

牧师的话说完，周围的人一阵会心地微笑。年轻人也听出此时人们的笑充满了善意和理解。

接下来，又有一位天生跛腿的女子也向牧师就自身的生理缺陷提出了疑问，她认为上帝对自己极不公平。

牧师用同样的声调和态度对眼前这位看上去很自卑的女子说：“在你从天而降的时候，你忘了在降落的过程中打开降落伞，而且你是用单腿着地的。”然后牧师指了指自己的一双短腿笑着说道：“我同样忘记在降落的过程中打开降落伞，不过我是双腿一齐着地的。”

当牧师的话音落下之后，讲坛下响起了一片掌声，而那两位提出疑问的青年男女的脸上洋溢着难得的自信笑容。过去他们总是为自己的一点缺陷而自卑、难过，可是现在他们可以从容地站在人群当中了，因为他们相信，自己同样是上帝珍爱的完美天使。
