《爸妈的话》是一首讲述父母恩情的民谣，表演时采用了强大演唱阵容。为了配合电影温馨搞笑的主题，除了成龙在俏皮演唱中，加入了一段很像京剧唱段的旋律，为这首歌增添了新鲜的元素外，还加入了戏中可爱小演员Matthew牙牙学语的叫声。歌曲轻松而又不失庄重，简单而又不落俗套。

据介绍，在拍戏和演唱过程中，成龙首次体会到做父母的不易和母爱的伟大，他说：自己不是个称职的父亲，但绝对有责任感。“我从来就不知道母爱有这么伟大，做母亲真是不容易，我曾经把这首歌唱给我妈妈听，她哭了，所以我现在把它献给全天下的母亲。”
