古代拜年说的话

　　古时农历元旦，拜年贺节是一项主要活动。这天清早，臣僚们要到朝廷向帝王贺节，同族的人要到祠堂举行团拜仪式。最为繁忙的，当然还是亲朋好友之间的登门拜年。有的人因种种原因，不能或不便外出，派子女出门代贺。即便这样，一些清规戒律常常使人苦不堪言。于是，至宋代，为简化手续，方便使用，专门用于拜年的贺卡应运而生。

　　贺卡最早称“刺”，又称名刺、名帖，大约出现在春秋战国时代。《后汉书·井丹传》称井丹“性清高，未尝脩刺候人。”宗臣《报刘一丈书》：“即门者持刺入，而主人又不即出见，立厩中仆马之间”。前者说传主不送名帖之清高，后者则说送帖者见不着主人之尴尬。起初，“削札为刺，止于达名姓”。写上贺词，成为一种专门的“书面”拜年形式，是宋代及以后的事。在漫长的发展过程中，这贺卡名堂多多。

　　飞帖迎春。清·甘熙《白下琐言》：“新岁以红柬书名，互相投递……谓之飞帖。”古人习俗，从正月初一至初五，都称拜年;初六到十五，称作拜晚年。尽管如此，但还是强调早：初一一早。是故，元代马臻有《至节即事》诗：“天街晓色瑞烟浓，名纸相传尽贺冬。”似乎可以说，初一早晨，春城无处不“飞帖”。

　　名刺自投。相比于登门拜贺，自投名刺既表达了礼数，又省却了见面的繁文缛节，寒暄客套，双方都方便。但是，自投，数量不多还好说;太多，力所难及。同时，虽说是“亲自”，以示郑重，但在世俗看来，不免有失体面。唐代诗人元鸲重酬乐天诗》有云：“最笑近来黄叔度，自投名刺占陂湖。”

　　望门投刺。每逢新年，如果上司、同僚、亲朋太多，难以一一登门拜谒时，有钱有势之家，会派仆人呈送一种二寸宽、三寸长的梅花笺纸，上面写有受贺人姓名、住址及祝福语，代为拜年。明人陆蓉《菽园杂记》载：“拜年……如东西长安街，朝官居住最多，至此者不问识与不识，望门投刺……”

　　亲笔手书。宋代，一些社会名流，喜欢用亲笔手书的名帖相互拜年。小小名帖，虽比不上巨幅大轴，却别具一格。于是，名家拜帖，历来被视为珍品，每多收藏。据南宋张世南《游宦纪闻》记载，其家藏有北宋著名文人秦观的一份拜帖，上款为“观敬贺子允学士尊兄正旦”，下款是：“高邮秦观手状”。敬贺正旦，即今日“恭贺新年”的意思。
