爱国之心，是每个人都有的，只是某些人在利益取舍中丧失了自己的原则。爱国是爱的最普通表现，也是一个有爱心的人最基本的真情流落，一个没有爱国之心的人，谈不上是如何去爱集体、爱别人，爱父母。我给你讲一个故事，在一所大学旁边，每月都有一个外国教师来到一个卖鸡蛋的穷老头旁边买货。而那个老头每次称称后都会帮老外教师多加一个鸡蛋，因为他怕万一少了人家的斤两，影响国人形象。老头是普通不能再普通的农村老汉，他连中国有多少平方公里的土地、有多少人口也许都不知道，甚至连国家领导人也数不出几个，但他拥有的爱国之心可以让旁边的人肃然起敬。这不是我给你编的故事，那老头就是我们家邻居爷爷。

诚信，不要弄虚作假。这说出来容易，做起来很难。你慢慢地就会觉得，一个人要不说假话、不做假事是非常难的。比如，你成绩不好，怕我责怪，你就会说谎或去作弊。这是你的想法，我认为不懂装懂不诚实更加可恶，宁要真实的五十分，不要虚假的一百分。

弄虚作假的人是注定要失败的。群众的眼睛是雪亮的，任何谎言都有被揭穿的时候。当你在阅读你课本中《狼来了》的寓言时，你不能只感受故事的滑稽，而要深刻体会诚信对做人的重要性。

诚实守信其实对自己也是一种肯定与尊重，不要因为看到他人因为作假蒙混过关而去效仿。他在作假时就已经失败了，他因为作了假而惴惴不安，你实事求是当然心安理得。在这个个人力量越来越弱化的时代，人们很容易失去自我而随波逐流，说老实话、办老实事不失为一种保持自我的良方。当你有说谎作假的念头时，你就要咬紧牙关，将它扼杀在萌芽状态。
